The seller negotiates a Basic Ordering Agreement or sales agreement with the buyer after an agreement to do business together. The Basic Ordering Agreement codifies their understanding of goods to be sold, terms and conditions of the sale, payment method, ports of loading and unloading, and banking information. Specific price information is usually contingent upon the terms of a separate Quotation.
